if I were to post a couple of the bad builds I've seen, you'd think I just made them up. Seriously.
Not sure if I even saved them.

Do a search next time and add you're QQ about PUGs to any one of the dozen or so "PUGs suck" threads already out there.

This is a different type of thread without QQing. He wants to see bad builds, not discuss why people use them and how dumb they are. I think.

My favorite are all of those Mending Wammo's who like to aggro the whole map.

Yup, I have seen that myself at DOA, and it totally cracked me up. Our leader could not get the monk get rid of meteor shower, at which point, the monk ragequit. WTH.

My first build ever was ranger/mesmer with apply poison and conjure phantasm during the first beta. The game was so different then, bows used to do a crapload more damage and spirits couldn't be killed. Those were the days...

A +5 energy sword takes you to 25. But then it drains all your energy AND causes exhaustion. Then there's the 5 second cast on the front line.
But that reminds me. The absolutely WORST one I have ever seen was a frenzy/heal area warrior. No excuse for that at all.

I too used flare on my Wa/E way back when. It was actually pretty handy in the early days of PVP... especially when you had someone almost dead and they hauled butt on you.. couple of flares in the back and onto the next target.
I doubt I'd do that now though.
Haven't PUG'd all that much to be honest. But it struck me as kinda cute when I was helping out some lowbies in Ruins of Surmia yesterday while waiting around for eternity for HM folks to show up. I can't recall the last time I got repeatedly healed with HB..lol
It just amazes me how far I've come as a player though. The first time with in most of those missions me and my playing partner would end up Pugging if there were no guildies available or make due with henchies.. but in less than a year I could solo RoS with a level 10 mo/wa. And yesterday, my mesmer was out damaging the rest of team combined a lot of the time. Granted she's lvl 20.. but it was still something to see the actual power difference between lvl 20's and area appropriate level characters. But everyone had decent skillbars for what they had available to work with.
Have to say though that the groups I've been in lately finishing out the last few bonuses for my Proph Prot title had pretty decent setups. One of the very few deaths in my THK group was my own fault. I'd forgotten my new armor wasn't infused. But except for that one time, the two monks managed to keep me alive without any problems even when I'd get hit with Spectral Agony. The only other death I recall was a ranger who was goofing off during the slow parts of the mission and fighting in her undies..lol
In any event, I haven't had any unpleasant PUG experiences since my first round in the desert waaaaaaay back when. That was due to the monk's attitude more than anything. He made it hell for the rest of the team the entire time we were together.

Ooh, just remembered this one time I saw someone try a 55hp monk during the Consulate Docks mission (we didn't find out until after we'd started...), secondary class was dervish, he kept using Pious Assault, "Lose 1 Enchantment"...
